After weeks spent in dodging breakup rumors, celebrity couple Robi Domingo and Gretchen Ho has finally confirmed that they are now split. On an episode of 'Tonight with Boy Abunda' on Wednesday, the two announced their breakup through a joint statement.
"There is too much happening for the both of us right now," Robi and Gretchen said in the statement.
According to them, their careers remain their top priority right now. However, they assure fans that they still consider one another as partners in the future.
"We have to focus on our careers. There is no appropriate time yet for a relationship to grow. But we're not closing our doors on each other in the future."
Also, Gretchen insisted that no third party had been involved in their decision to split.

Gretchen and Robi started dating in 2012. However, the rumors regarding the split began circulating in January after fans noticed that the two's sweet display on Instagram had slowly declined.
Rumors also emerged that Robi started pursuing Sandara Park, although the K-pop Star already denied this, saying they are just good friends.
The host first became vocal about what he feels for the volleyball player back in March 2013. Robi said, "Just thinking about her makes me smile for some reason. Being with her is a different kind of feeling. When I'm with her, I become more of myself. Ayaw ko 'yung 'You complete me' na 'yun pero I begin to discover myself more through her."

As heartbreaking as it is, Gretchen once wrote that the host reminded her that together they can withstand problems. On Robi's birthday last September, Gretchen wrote, "To my best friend in the highs and lows and life's in-betweens, thank you for making me feel like a kid again every time. And for reminding me that no problem is ever big enough to defeat us. You have me, and I have you."
Although their careers have always been their priority, the two have repeatedly admitted that they see one another in their future plans of settling down.
Hours after the rumor was confirmed on Wednesday, Gretchen posted on her Instagram account.
