Sometime in July last year, Piolo Pascual and his son Inigo went under fire after his long-time personal assistant Moi posted an intimate photo of the father and son on his Instagram page.
Many netizens posted malicious comments regarding the photo which further fueled the speculation that Piolo is gay.
Piolo refused to address the issue, saying: "Kumbaga hindi ko na pinagtakahan 'yun. 'Yun talaga 'yung nature ng tao eh, mapagmasama, 'yung mapagduda.”
“My son didn’t see me for two months, you know, so ganun kami. Ganun kami ka-affectionate sa isa’t isa, so mainggit na lang sila, di ba?” he said.
“Sa tagal ko ba naman sa industriya, papatol pa ba tayo? Ipinagkibit-balikat na lang 'yun at mas maraming may kuwentang gawin sa buhay kaysa pumatol,” he added.
Recently, another video surfaced and circulated around social media, after a netizen captured the father and son having fun before giving each other a kiss on the lips followed by a tight hug.
Facebook page Pinoy Hottest Celebrities posted the viral video that has already garnered 14 thousand views as of this writing.
Although the caption was plainly worded as a father and son being sweet to each other, some netizens weren't convinced and still posted malicious comments that claim their affection towards each other was somewhat disturbing.
However, many netizens came to Piolo's defense, saying that they didn't do anything wrong. One even commented: "Wala naman masama.. kung ang mag ina nga na ganyan ka close mag tatay pa kaya.. wag gawing issue yan.. naiingit lang kayo.. haha mga insecure"
Another netizen stated that he doesn't see any malice in the video at all and commented: "Hindi malaswa . Ang sweet nila ! Super close . Mas pangit pa nga kung nanay at anak na lalaki haha"
Piolo and his son Inigo have yet to comment on the issue.
