However, the Philippine Daily Inquirer recently reported that her Twitter account got suspended on Thursday, March 9. Her twitter handle is @MochaUson.
According to the report, her page displayed a notification error that read: “The account you are trying to view has been suspended.”
The hashtag #MochaUsonIsOverParty was also the top trending topic on Twitter Philippines.
As Mocha often does, she accused supporters of the Liberal Party as the ones responsible for briefly suspending her account.
She said in her post: “Ganito po ka-hipokrito ang mga DILAW. Sinasabi niyong ayaw niyo sa diktador pero kayo ang umaasal na diktador sa social media. Hindi niyo mapipigilan ang katotohanan at damdamin naming mga tunay na DDS.”
“Laban mga ka-DDS! MABUHAY ANG MANDIRIGMANG MGA DAMDAMIN! Kayong mga yellow, lumaban kayo ng patas. Wag maging diktador!”
“Ito ang dahilan kung bakit tayo mass reported ng mga yellow trolls. Umabot ng almost 1M engagement natin in 24 hours,” she added and used the hashtag #RestoreMochaUsonTwitter.
Twitter typically suspends accounts that post spam, pose a risk of account security, or exhibit abusive tweets or behavior. Based on Mocha's tweets, the third criteria is the most likely reason.
Mocha has a penchant for personally attacking anyone who is critical of the Duterte regime. Her preferred targets are Leni Robredo and other members of the Liberal Party (LP).
Mocha has been accused of regularly propagating questionable news sources on her social media accounts, a claim she has refuted.
According to her page, she is “not a journalist.” Mocha has over four million followers on Facebook alone. On Twitter, she has 122 thousand.
However, as of this writing, the blogger’s page on Twitter has been revived. It has the same handle (@MochaUson) as before.
